Sharon Lakes Animal Hospital has been providing Charlotte, North Carolina families and their beloved pets with complete veterinary care for more than 30 years. Although we are located within minutes of South Park, our clients come from a wide range of surrounding communities. They understand how much we truly value our pet patients and that we will always put their health and well-being first.
Our Patients
Our veterinary hospital is devoted exclusively to dogs and cats, enabling our veterinarians to focus on the pet health issues that are unique to these species. In addition, we are experienced in treating breed-specific health conditions, such as those found in English bulldogs and Cavalier King Charles spaniels, to name just two.

Our Veterinarians and Staff
The veterinarians at Sharon Lakes Animal Hospital have more than 90 years of experience among them. Our pet doctors are continually advancing their knowledge regarding the latest developments in veterinary medicine, typically completing triple the level of training required by the state each year.
In addition, each of our veterinarians is passionate about different areas of pet health care, enabling us to provide a wide range of services to our patients. This includes everything from pet dental care, dermatology, and ophthalmology, to oncology, geriatric medicine, and specialized veterinary surgery such as ACL repairs.
Our veterinary staff is equally committed to providing outstanding pet health care to our patients. This talented team pursues continuing education each year in order to enhance their knowledge of veterinary care and animal hospital administration.
Our Veterinary Hospital
One of the keys to providing quality veterinary services is having a facility that meets the highest standards of care. One of the ways that we ensure we achieve this is through our voluntary accreditation with the American Animal Hospital Association. Our pet hospital is regularly evaluated with regard to more than 900 elements of our practice, ranging from surgical standards and record keeping to vaccine types and kennel facilities. We are proud to be among the 12% of veterinary hospitals nationwide to achieve this accreditation status.
Our facility also is equipped with the latest in advanced veterinary diagnostic equipment, enabling us to diagnose our patients quickly and accurately on site.
Individualized Pet Care & Service
At Sharon Lakes Animal Hospital, we believe that each patient's circumstances are unique. There is no "one-size-fits-all" answer when it comes to veterinary care. Our veterinarians and staff take the time to understand each pet patient's specific lifestyle and needs, tailoring preventive care and treatments accordingly.
