Veterinarians & Staff

Our doctors have many years of experience among them. Our investment in continuing education insures your pet's doctors are up to date on the latest medical and diagnostic information. Each doctor is required to attend a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education courses per year. In addition, most of our doctors have undergone USDA certification. This allows us to certify both international and domestic health certificates for clients.

Monthly training and year-round continuing education programs for all employees ensure our entire medical support team is knowledgeable about products and services important to your pet's health. This helps us to maintain focus on excellence in client education and customer service.

In addition to our veterinarians, Sharon Lakes Animal Hospital employs a team of veterinary technicians, receptionists, animal care providers, and a hospital manager. We encourage you to get to know our staff - we especially appreciate relationships with our clients!

Welcome Dr. Aquino!

Sharon Lakes Animal Hospital is excited to welcome Dr. Joseph “Joey” Aquino to the Sharon Lakes team. Dr. Aquino is originally from a small suburb close to the New Jersey shore. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Rutgers University, attended vet school at Ross University and completed clinical studies at Oklahoma State University.

Dr. Aquino’s professional interests include endocrinology and nutrition, and he especially values client education and communication.

Personally, Dr. Aquino enjoys music, traveling, sports, physical fitness, literature and film. He shares his home with a three-legged, mixed breed dog named Yoni, an eyeless kitten named Margot, and another cat named Denzel.
