Diagnostic Imaging

Diagnostic imaging technologies produce detailed images of the internal structures of your pet's body, which help us to make accurate diagnoses and provide more effective treatment.

Digital Radiology (X-Rays)

Digital x-rays produce extremely detailed images of a patient's internal structures during the exam process. These images can be pulled up instantly on a computer screen.

This technology provides high-quality images quickly and safely, resulting in a more accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound transmits sound waves into the body to create an image that shows the vet the architecture of an organ.

Ultrasound allows us to distinguish fluid from soft tissue masses or foreign bodies, making ultrasound helpful in the diagnosis of hemoabdomen and pericardial effusion (blood in the abdomen or around the heart).

When a pet has a tumor or ingests something it shouldn’t have, an ultrasound can also help us locate and characterize the object.

Surgical Lasers

LASER is an acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission Radiation. A laser is a device that generates a beam of light energy at a specific wavelength.

This wavelength is absorbed by the water found in skin and other soft tissue, allowing us to cut tissue by vaporizing the cells.

The extent to which the laser beam is absorbed into the surrounding tissue can be controlled by the surgeon, allowing for extreme precision.

This results in decreased pain, reduced bleeding, and a lower risk of infection compared to traditional surgical procedures.

Cold Laser Therapy

We use cold laser as a pain- and drug-free therapeutic treatment for inflammation and pain in cats and dogs. Cold laser therapy is non-surgical and can be performed in conjunction with other treatments.
